Product Description

✔ Performance Stabilizer Bar Links are upgraded stabilizer bar connectors developed for performance vehicles, sport utility vehicles and track-day cars pursuing ultimate handling and rapid dynamic response.
✔ Centered on lightweight construction, high rigidity and low friction, the links are manufactured from high-strength chromoly steel (4130 alloy steel) via cold drawing followed by integral quenching and tempering to achieve a hardness of HRC 42–45, balancing strength and toughness.
✔ Compared with conventional stabilizer bar links, the shaft diameter is increased to 22 mm with wall thickness boosted by 30%, delivering approximately 65% higher section modulus for bending resistance.
✔ The ball joint adopts an innovative needle roller bearing design to replace traditional plastic bushings. Double-row staggered needle rollers enable a radial load capacity of 35 kN and axial load capacity of 12 kN, cutting dynamic response lag to below 0.02 seconds.
✔ Oil-resistant and weather-resistant hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) is used for dust boots with a labyrinth seal structure to block moisture and water ingress.
✔ Two series are offered: standard length and short version, suitable for sedans, coupe SUVs and lowered modified vehicles.
✔ Every link undergoes 100% electromagnetic induction heating assembly before shipment to guarantee consistent ball joint rotational torque (1.0 ± 0.2 N·m), preventing brake pull caused by left-right asymmetry.
✔ The surface features chromium-free Dacromet coating with heat resistance up to 300 °C, ideal for thermal radiation generated during aggressive driving.

Assembly Instructions

✔ Extended Sway Bar End Links must be installed after all chassis lift components (springs, shocks, control arms) have been secured.
✔ First, place the vehicle on level ground and allow the suspension to hang freely. Measure the straight-line distance between the mounting hole at the end of the sway bar and the corresponding hole on the lower control arm. Use this measurement as final verification for selecting the correct extended link length.
✔ During installation, pass the upper ball stud bolt through the sway bar hole without tightening; then feed the lower ball stud into the control arm bracket.
Note: The "L" and "R" markings on the end links must correspond to the left and right sides of the vehicle; do not swap sides.
✔ Use the supplied extended flange bolts and nylon lock nuts for preliminary tightening. Next, lower the vehicle to its normal loaded condition (place a 75 kg weight on the driver's seat). With all four wheels on the ground, tighten fasteners with a torque wrench to specified values:
Upper nut: 95±5 N·m
Lower nut: 115±5 N·m
✔ Finally, inspect clearance between the sway bar and tires, brake hoses, and ABS wiring harnesses. A minimum safe clearance of 15 mm must be maintained.

Operating Precautions

✔ Under full load or extreme body roll conditions, the ball joint articulation angle of these extended links may approach its limit (±22°).
✔ Do not install additional wheel spacers or negative-offset wheels without readjusting the link geometry. Failure to do so will cause premature ball joint end-stop impact.
✔ If the vehicle frequently undergoes off-road jumps or high-speed sand driving, inspect the straightness of the end link tube after each outing. Place a straightedge against the tube and check for light gaps to detect bending.
✔ Under no circumstances should extended links be used with factory sway bar brackets designed for non-lifted suspension. Mismatched bracket height creates angular side loading on ball joints.
✔ If metallic "clunking" noises are heard from the chassis, stop driving immediately and inspect for extruded bushings or loose bolts.

Maintenance Procedures

For Extended Sway Bar End Links, service is recommended every 6,000 km or quarterly, whichever comes first.
1. Cleaning
Dampen a cloth with kerosene to clean exposed threads and weld heat-affected zones (HAZ) on the link body to remove surface rust.
Avoid contact between kerosene and polyurethane bushings, as kerosene will cause bushing swelling.
2. Lubrication
Apply dedicated polyurethane-compatible lubricant spray to the inner bushing surfaces and ball joint interfaces. Spray approximately 2 seconds on each end. Allow 10 minutes for penetration, then wipe away excess lubricant.
3. Tightness Inspection
Retorque upper and lower nuts sequentially using a torque wrench. Apply witness marks across nuts and mounting surfaces. Retighten if witness marks shift by more than 5°.
4. Wear Inspection
Every 10,000 km, remove the bushings and measure internal bore wear. Replace bushing assemblies if inner diameter increases by more than 0.5 mm compared with new components.
5. Long-Term Storage
Hang links vertically in a dry warehouse. Do not store alongside acids or alkalis. Coat threaded sections with anti-rust oil.
