Tools You Will Need

• 24mm socket with ratchet handle
• 19mm & 24mm combination spanners
• Hydraulic workshop press

Installation Steps

1.The radius arms can be removed with the vehicle sitting on the ground at its normal ride height. Always work on only one arm at a time, and use a bottle jack under the differential housing to prevent it from twisting during the process.
2.Remove the fastener that secures the front radius arm to the chassis. On Nissan Patrols, this is a pin-style mount with a nut; on Toyota models, it is a bushing mount with a nut and bolt (see Figure 01).
3.Undo the 24mm nuts and bolts that connect the front radius arm to the differential. It is recommended to loosen the fasteners on both arms and use a bottle jack under the diff to prevent rotation. On Nissan Patrols, removing the track rod on one side may be required for clearance. On long-wheelbase (LWB) models, the stabilizer bar must also be removed (see Figure 02).
4.Detach the front radius arm, then use the hydraulic press to push out the two original differential-side rubber bushings.
5.Press the new '0398' polyurethane bushing into the arm. Next, apply the supplied white grease to the inner bore of the bushing and the outer surface of the crush tube, then slide the tube into place (see Figure 03).
6.Refit the radius arm by reversing the removal steps. Repeat the entire procedure for the opposite side.
7.Once both sides are complete, perform a full wheel alignment to restore correct suspension geometry.
